Conditions & Collaboration

At Integrative Equine Bodywork, our goal is to improve your horse’s health and performance through targeted therapies and collaborative care. While we do not diagnose conditions, our therapies are designed to support a wide range of issues, working alongside veterinarians and other equine professionals to ensure the best outcomes for your horse.

Conditions Requiring Veterinary Clearance

For certain conditions, it is essential to have veterinary clearance before proceeding with bodywork. These conditions include:

  • Recent surgeries or acute injuries

  • Open wounds or sores

  • Active laminitis or founder

  • High temperatures

  • Broken bones or acute soft tissue injuries (e.g., tendon or ligament tears)

  • Any acute conditions not yet addressed by a veterinarian

Our priority is the safety and health of your horse, and we always adhere to best practices and veterinary guidelines.

CONDITIONS NOT YET ADDRESSED BY A VETERINARIAN

For any acute conditions that have not been evaluated by a veterinarian, we require veterinary clearance before proceeding with bodywork. This ensures that we do not inadvertently cause harm or interfere with necessary medical treatments.

Conditions We Address

Our services are aimed at enhancing your horse’s overall well-being by addressing various physical issues. Common conditions we help with include:

  • Tension and Stiffness: Alleviating muscle tension and stiffness to improve comfort and flexibility.

  • Range of Motion: Enhancing joint and muscle flexibility for better movement and performance.

  • Injury Recovery: Supporting the healing process from injuries under the direction of a veterinarian.

  • Chronic Pain: Managing chronic pain and discomfort through targeted therapies

  • Performance Issues: Improving performance by addressing underlying physical issues that may be limiting your horse’s capabilities.

Collaboration for Comprehensive Care

At Integrative Equine Bodywork, we believe that a collaborative approach is essential for optimal equine health. We work closely with a network of equine professionals to provide holistic care that considers all aspects of your horse’s well-being.
